Physical burnout is a prevalent issue in today’s fast-paced world. It manifests through symptoms such as fatigue, depression, brain fog, memory loss, decreased interest in socializing, and diminished performance. However, burnout runs deeper than needing rest; it reflects a profound disconnection and depletion on a soul level.

Reconnecting to your soul includes faith and belief in this intrinsic part of yourself. It’s the inner guidance system that gets overridden by the ego. Meditation, contemplation, and prayer source a deep reconnection to your soul. I also created a podcast episode to provide 9 more ways you can get underneath burnout and replenish on a soul level. In this episode, you will also receive a guided practice to release outdated beliefs.

It’s called The Soul Side of Burnout and 9 Ways to Replenish. You can listen to it here on Apple iTunes or YouTube.  Please like and subscribe wherever you listen to it.

And So you don’t have to take notes, I did it for you. Here are 9 Ways to Replenish when experiencing burnout.

  1. Nutrition: Prioritize supplemental support and ensure adequate hormone and micronutrient levels by getting regular checks and maintaining a balanced vitamin intake.
  2. Listen to Your Intuition: Pay attention to the signals your body sends, listen to your inner knowing, and trust your inner voice to guide you towards healing and restoration.
  3. Connect with Nature: Reconnect with the natural world by spending time outdoors, immersing yourself in environments that resonate with your soul’s needs. Whether it’s the soothing presence of water or the tranquility of a forest, seek out spaces that replenish your spirit.
  4. Establish Boundaries: To prevent further depletion, set healthier boundaries with technology, work commitments, and daily routines. Consider whether adjustments to existing systems are necessary to prioritize your well-being.
  5. Stop Burning Matches and Sustain the Candle– Do structures, systems or routines need to change? Where are you spinning your wheels on unnecessary tasks?  How can you stop burning matches and sustain the inner light within you?
  6. Non-negotiables with Self-Care time: Identify non-negotiable aspects of self-care and carve out dedicated time for activities that nourish your body, mind, and soul.
  7. Sleep: Make sleep a priority and allow yourself to rest as needed, including taking short naps to recharge throughout the day.
  8. Meditation: Dedicate at least 20 minutes daily to meditation, providing a space for quiet reflection and inner peace amidst the chaos of daily life.
  9. Challenge Belief Systems: Take stock of outdated, survival-based beliefs that may be contributing to burnout, and actively work towards shifting them to promote healthier thought patterns and behaviors.

Bonus Tip: Grounding: Engage in grounding practices such as walking barefoot on the earth or one of my guided meditations like this Simple Grounding Practice to reconnect with the present moment and anchor yourself in stability and calm.
